Aged 79, late of Lewis Gap, Green Hill, St.Michael entered into eternal rest on Wednesday 1stOctober, 2025. A retired employee of the Children’s Wear Group and a devoted member of Whitehall Methodist Church and the Women’s League;

Cherished Daughter of Gwendolyn Yarde and the late Alva Arthur;

Devoted Mother of Cheryl Harris, Paul and Patrick Massiah;

Foster-mother of Garfield Lorde, Andre, Christopher and Wayne Stoute;

Devoted Mother-in-Law of Sherrie Massiah and Prince Harris (USA);

Sister-in-Law of Diana Yarde;

Grandmother of Melisa, Renesha and Ashley Massiah, Tariq Holder and the late John Harewood Jr;

Great-grandmother of 10;

Beloved Sister of Cynthia, Sandra, Ricardo and Anthony Yarde and the late Marcia Burton;

Aunt of Omar, Kevin, Adrian and Sharon Yarde, Roger and Ryan Burton, Janice Boudhan;

Great-aunt of many;

Cousin of Rosita and Delores Linton, Anita Cathy Wiggins (Alberta, Canada), and the late Shirley Linton;

A Homegoing Service of Praise and Thanksgiving to celebrate the life of Monica Hazene LORDE née Massiah will take place at Whitehall Methodist Church, Whitehall Main Road, St. Michael on Monday 27th October 2025, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 pm for the service. The Cortege will then proceed to St. Thomas Parish Church Cemetery for the interment.

Her body will repose for viewing at the church on Monday from 1:00pm until the commencement of the service where floral tributes will be graciously accepted. Floral tributes may also be delivered to LE Smith Funeral Home no later than 11:00 am on Monday.

The organist and members of the Whitehall Methodist Church choir are kindly asked to attend.
