Valuable employee of Fusion Rooftop Restaurant, New York Pizza and Baia Restaurant;

Devoted Member of All Souls Anglican Church;
Ardent player of Hindsbury Domino Club and member of The Barbados Domino Association;

Predeceased by his Grandmother Carmen Straughn, Brother Fabian Forde and Uncles Hugh and Eric Straughn;

“Straughny” entered into peaceful rest on 22 July 2025 and is survived by his Beloved Mother Sylvia Forde née Straughn;

Dearest Children Jerome, Shana and Keiana Straughn and Terry Springer;

Brother Kenrick Straughn;

Nieces Melanie, Kenisha, Rashaena and Rakiya;

Nephew Grantley Burroughs;

Aunts Selah, Marlene, Jean and Coralita Straughn;

A Service of Praise and Thanksgiving to celebrate the work and life of Ignatius Roosevelt STRAUGHN will be held on Friday 15th August 2025, at All Souls Anglican Church, Lower Bank Hall, St. Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment.

His body will repose for viewing at the church from 1 pm until the start of the service, where floral tributes would be greatly appreciated. Floral tributes may also be delivered to LE Smith Funeral Home no later than 11:30 am on Friday.

The organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.
