Daughter of the late Albertha and Arthur Alleyne;
Loving mother of Sylvia Straughn-Forde, Selah, Marlene, Jean, Coralita and Samuel Straughn and the late Hugh and Eric Straughn;

Grandmother of Kenrick, Ignatius, Steve,Keith, Keisha and Kyla Straughn, Gabrielle Straughn-Yarde, Sharon Stuart, Alicia Moore, James Branche, Sherina Brathwaite, Antonio, Pedro and Sarah Newton;

Great-grandmother of 22;

Great-great-grandmother of 1;

Aunt of Jean Lynch (UK), Elrita, Thelma, Victor and Michael Straughn, Marva and Annie Straughn (UK) and the late Cora Straughn.

Relative of the Straughn, Alleyne and Mason families.

Close friend of Hazel Padmore, Denise Greaves, Deborah Thompson and many others.

A Homegoing Service of Praise and Thanksgiving to celebrate the life of Carmen Venestene STRAUGHN will take place at St Catherine Anglican Church, St Catherine, St Philip on Monday 10th February 2025 where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 p.m for the Service followed by the interment in the churchyard. Visitation takes place at LE Smith Funeral Home on Sunday 9th February 2025 from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Her body will also repose for viewing at the Church on Monday from 2 pm until the commencement of the Service where floral tributes will be graciously accepted.
The Organist and choir are kindly asked to attend.
