It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of
LAYNE - Otho Cardinal Affectionately known as “Carl”
Personal Trainer and Owner of Body Fusion Fitness Club
Aged: 72
Late of Lennox Avenue, Goodland, St. Michael and formerly of Rock Dundo Park, St. Michael, who entered peacefully into rest on Thursday 6th June 2024.
Son of the late Olga and Cossie Layne;
Former Husband of Dawn Layne;
Cherished Father of Claire and Kara Layne;
Grandfather of Conor Bellamy;
Brother of the late Sandra Bourne and Arnot Layne;
Uncle of Aleisha Prescod and Gregory Bourne;
Godfather of Monique Bowen, Leiah and Wayne Scantlebury;
Relative of the Layne, Sealy, Millar, Haynes, Bourne and Bishop families;
Friend of many, too numerous to mention.
A Service of Praise and Thanksgiving to celebrate the life of Otho Cardinal “Carl” Layne will take place at the Church of Christ the King, Rock Dundo, St. Michael on Monday 24th June 2024, where relatives and friends are warmly invited to meet at 10.00am for the service. The cortege will then proceed to the Cassia Lawns, Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens for the interment. His body will repose for viewing at the church on Monday from 9.00am until the commencement of the service where floral tributes will be graciously accepted. Floral tributes may also be delivered to LE Smith Funeral Home no later than 8.00am.
